Hello Brother Knights:
On June 27, 2019, we want you to join us at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Okotoks at 6:00 PM to discuss Faith in Action, activities, and have an informal chat. Pizza and refreshments will be available; please bring $5.00 to contribute to the food and drink pot and your Knights of Columbus Membership Card.
We are calling on you, our brothers, to help us, inspire us, work with us, and develop our Council’s service programs. We want to know what you think: what should our Council work on, what should our Council be known for in Okotoks and Foothills County, and, most importantly, what can we, as brother Knights, do to serve our community better? This inspiration- and information-sharing night will be informal, discussion-based, and a night of comradery for Catholic gentlemen. You needn’t come alone or feel like you cannot contribute – all ideas are welcome.
On April 6, 2018, the old Surge…with Service program was replaced by the Supreme Council with the vastly simpler Faith in Action program. We’ve attached a guidebook on that new program, which recommends activities that we as Knights can undertake. We want to know what you think of these programs and any others that you can come up with.
Can’t make it or want to get a head start? E-mail Terry (fia-7092@wtm-online.ca) so that he can get you access to an online document that will form the basis of our discussion.
We are anxious to make sure that the Knights of Columbus in Okotoks are a living testament to our faith. We are Knights, called to serve our faith, our church, our community, and life; come help us.
Vivat Jesus.
P.S. Terry has a friendly bet going with one of our esteemed, senior Brother Knights that at least 50 of us will show up; do him a solid and don’t disappoint!
